Seabrook Crisps to launch the UK’s first peel front crisp packets!

Thanks to the kind people at Seabrooks who let us into this little secret…C Store Lattice Peel 260914

The unique packaging will be exclusively available in Foodservice and Convenience when the brand rolls out its new, premium Lattice Cut range into each channel.

The innovative new format for Lattice Cut 40g bags allows consumers to peel open the front of the packet and share its contents in a convenient and stylish serve.

The unique Peel & Share design gives the Foodservice trade an exciting new product that responds to the growth of the sharing occasion for crisps, currently worth £292m and growing at 4% annually1. In addition, the Lattice Cut range meets the trend for premium crisps category, now worth £223m and growing at 7% YoY2. It provides a more convenient and stylish serve to meet the occasion and emphasises the premium position of the range.

Peel & Share Lattice Cut is targeted at all ‘out of home’ eating occasions from snacking at work to socialising in the pub and café culture. The range will help drive incremental sales of crisps in all Foodservice outlets by making sharing easier whilst eating out of home, meaning health conscious consumers will be more willing to treat themselves with their friends or colleagues.

Premium flavours in the peel front range include Natural Sea Salt, Sea Salt & Red Wine Vinegar and Rich Farmhouse Cheese and Onion.

The peel front pack has a tested, tamper proof seal and the format has no impact on the shelf life of the product.

Available in the Cash & Carry Channel in outers of 18 with an RRP of 75p but, given its premium and unique offer, will be able to attract a higher price point dependent on outlet.

Seabrooks! Send us a sample, we want to try these please… PV

Oh, and a little birdie told us that our friend Michael Evans walked away with the Chief Executive’s award at the recent AVS conference in Belfast! Well done Michael.
