What a Doozy! Revive Vending wins Community and Charity Award…

On Thursday 20th June, Revive Vending won a Community and Charity Award at the South Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards. The established ceremony, now in its 20th Year takes place in Salisbury and celebrates the local communities’ businesses. For over 15 years Revive has supported the charity EdUKaid through providing office space, stationery, expertise, a proportion of their profits and by organising fundraising activities. This award has recognised this dedication.

The judging process included a trip to the Revive Offices to speak to boss Tim Varney and EdUKaid’s Programme Director, Teresa Wells. After explaining the relationship between Revive and EdUKaid, the visitors were shown a video of EdUKaid’s work in rural Tanzania. It is safe to say, a few tears were shed. This emotive meeting helped Revive to win the award over a host a worthy finalists.

Teresa Wells, EdUKaid’s Programme Director, said,

“Thanks to Tim Varney and the Revive team, over 9,000 of Tanzania’s most disadvantaged children have access to an education every year and the chance of a better future.  We think this is a fantastic example of a business leader putting corporate social responsibility in action.”

This award comes with a huge thank you to our fellow vending industry members who have raised over £125,000 for EdUKaid. Each year we at Revive hold the ‘must attend’ event in the Autumn and is heavily supported by the vending community,  and is always an enjoyable night. Alongside this, individuals have led their own fundraising activities including bike rides and events.
