Parcel Suppliers Signs Up Abbeychart

BY IAN-REYNOLDS-YOUNG

Abbeychart became the latest vending business to sign-up with Parcel Holders’ new parts suppliers’ service, Parcel Suppliers – on the day of its official launch at Vendex north.

‘Abbeychart was one of the first suppliers we ever spoke to in the water coolers and vending sectors and it was clear from the outset that they could see the benefits Parcel Holders offered for our mutual customers’, said MD Ed Fraser. ‘By joining Parcel Suppliers, our Parcel Holders clients can now track Abbeychart components as they travel through every stage of the supply chain to arrive at our Pick-Up / Drop-Off points. Like myself, I know our customers are all delighted that another of their major suppliers has come on board!’

PH-PS-Linking

Abbeychart GM Simon Willis wasn’t entirely new to the idea: ‘I had a bit of experience in the concept during my time at Connect Vending’, he said, ‘and after a meeting with Monika Douglas at our offices in Stanford, we decided to trial the system. After conferring with a number of our customers, it was clear to us that we could add to the efficiency of their operations by adding the Parcel Holders service to ours.’

Simon added: ‘The case for Parcel Holders is pretty compelling. It saves businesses lost man hours, fuel and time, because field personnel spend much less time on the road travelling back to base, or to distant depots to pick up parts. This way, they spend much more of their time on site, doing what they do best. And all those saved trips means that, as a company, we’re cutting our carbon emissions, so it really is good news all round.’
