Nayax Announces the Sudden Death of UK Technical Director C-zi Patel

Planet Vending has received a tribute from Nayax in respect of C-zi Patel, the Technical Director for Nayax UK, who has died suddenly: ‘It is with deep regret that we wish to inform you of the unexpected and untimely passing of C-zi Patel.  Having been in the industry for many, many years was well known, and we are honoured to say, hugely liked and respected by everyone. He was a vital and integral member of the Nayax team both in the UK and globally, but more importantly, he was our friend, and we are already missing him greatly.’

Happy days: C-zi with Paul Morgan, (L), and Lewis Zimbler.

‘We were thrilled to have C-zi join us’, Lewis Zimbler, Operations Director, Nayax UK recalled. ‘His depth of knowledge and experience in this industry offered much to our customers. As the unattended markets in the UK and Ireland continue to grow, with the advent of cashless payments, our customers look to Nayax for the most advanced technological solutions, and C-zi’s support was a vital element of our response.

‘On a business level, we will continue to support the commitments and projects that C-zi so passionately worked on but that is for a separate time. For now, we wish to just say goodbye to C-zi and may his sweet soul rest in peace.’

We offer our condolences to C-zi’s family and to his colleagues at Nayax. He will be sorely missed.

The Editor

Planet Vending’s Editor is Ian Reynolds-Young and it’s Ian’s unique writing talent that has made PV what it is today – the best read (red) vending blog in the world, and vending’s best read (reed). Ian ‘tripped and fell into vending’, in the capacity of PR executive, before launching a specialist agency, ‘reynoldscopy’, dedicated to the UK Vending business. The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.

‘It’s all about telling stories’, he says. ‘We want to make every visit to PV a rewarding experience. By celebrating the achievements of the UK’s operating companies, we’re on a mission to debunk the idea that vending is retailing’s poor relation.’
