Following increased demand from across the UK foodservice industry, market leading food and drink packaging manufacturer Huhtamaki has announced plans for a ‘significant increase’ in production capacity at its foodservice site in Gosport.
‘With an ever-growing ‘café culture’ and more and more people eating out or ‘on the go’, operators are recognising the importance of attractive, high quality disposable cups and containers’, Rosemary Mason (Managing Director, Huhtamaki, Foodservice Western Europe & UK) told PV. ‘This has led to an increase in demand for products such as our colourful and stylish ‘enjoy’ cups and ‘Eatwell’ food containers; our RPET tumblers and the recently launched food-to- go packaging range, ‘Taste’. 
‘Over the past three years, Huhtamaki has kept pace with this growing demand by investing in new state of the art machinery’, Rosemary said. ‘Now, with investment in the development and expansion of our Holbrook site in Gosport, our production capacity will be significantly increased; ensuring that we can continue to meet the demands of a thriving UK foodservice market with products manufactured in the UK.’
