When Dragon Energy first entered the UK Vending sector, the company chose Vendex as its launch pad. Back then, the ambition was to make 2024 the “Year of the Dragon” and a year on, they can say ‘we did it!’
And they’ve got a gong to prove it: the Kingsley Beverages Dragon Energy brand was presented with the Best Newcomer award by NIVO members. Praise indeed, as UK Head of Sales, Michael Sutton readily agreed: ‘We were incredibly proud and honoured to win this prestigious award especially as it was voted by the members of the NIVO group…the UK’s Independent Vending Operators.’
2024 was indeed The Year of The Dragon. ‘As well as being nominated for two Vendies, Dragon emerged as the fastest growing energy brand in the Vending sector’, Michael said. ‘We’ve had great support from the vending Industry, especially from independent operators. Our focus now is on widening our distribution across both Independents and Operating Groups operators and helping them to see the benefits of the Dragon proposition.’
The mantra for 2025 is ‘Great Taste and Great Value’ and Dragon will continue to encourage potential customers to run trials with the products. ‘It’s been a really effective initiative for us. We had head-turning success in a wide variety of sites and we’re eager for further opportunities.’
2025 will see Dragon working closely with ARN to extend its distribution. ‘We’ve had great support from ARN in 2024 and plan to extend this in 2025’, Michael said.
At Vendex, Dragon Energy will be showcasing the latest range to be available to the Vending market…ISORADE Sports drinks. ‘It’s another exciting product launch for us’, Michael said ‘We say it’s ‘engineered for performance’ because the ISORADE range of sports drinks helps replenish fluids, electrolytes and carbohydrates lost through sports and physical activity.’
