Douwe Egberts To Cover Up!

Douwe Egberts Professional has been appointed as an approved supplier to Cover Group for its roast and ground products. Approved supplier status will enable Douwe Egberts to work in partnership with Cover members to develop the Espresso Bar concept.

The Douwe Egberts partnership will enable the 18 leading regional vending companies within the Cover group to add value to their offer.  The company’s award-winning Espresso Bar concept was the industry’s first gourmet vending option fully endorsed by a major branded coffee roaster and it has since defined a new quality benchmark for vending machines, taking the Douwe Egberts ethos of ‘quality in-the-cup’ to the next level.

Tony Smith, national sales manager at Douwe Egberts told PV ‘we’re delighted to partner with Cover Group. We are hugely passionate about quality coffee and are dedicated to helping the vending industry move forward in line with changing consumer expectations. Ever since we entered the industry in 2009, our new product development strategy has been aimed at continually pushing the quality agenda forward, and bringing innovative products to the market from a brand that consumers trust.’

Cover member Mike Gardner of Vending Solutions in Southampton said, ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for both Douwe Egberts and Cover Group and I look forward to working with Tony Smith and his team in developing our business relationship further.’

The latest addition to the Douwe Egberts vending range is Café Blanco – a high quality milk granule made from 100 per cent pure skimmed milk, an easy-to-use milk granule that preserves all of the nutritional value of fresh milk.

The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.
