UPDATED NUMBERS – BETTER QUALITY VIDEO
Broderick’s Piano in Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2 has made the news yet again!
Back in August, the Manchester Evening News picked up on the story of how Johnny Broderick had relocated his piano from the showroom to T2’s Broderick’s Love Coffee cafe and was offering free food and drink to entertainers. A lover of music himself, Johnny had been offering a free coffee in exchange for a song or a tune: but the decision to install his beloved piano – and then record the results on video – has proved to be a stroke of social media genius…
The biggest Internet hit to date is a video showing an armed policeman joining in with singer-songwriter Matthew Breen as he performed the Oasis classic, Don’t Look Back in Anger whilst waiting to board his flight back to Australia. ‘Sadly, the quality of the video is not the best but its certainly good enough to spot the officer tapping out the beat on his machine gun’, Johnny said. ‘It’s probably a good thing, we don’t want to get the bobby into bother.’
Since it was uploaded on Broderick’s Love Coffee’s Facebook site, the video has been viewed over 1.5 million times – and rising…

‘It’s amazing and we’re absolutely delighted with the reaction that has had mainstream press like The Mail Online as well as the MEN, Liverpool Echo and now LadBible pick up on the story. We’ve even had a follow-up from Australia.
‘We made a mistake initially by not creating a YouTube Channel for these videos but we’ve done it now – so it’ll make it easier for embedding onto websites and sharing away from Facebook, more will go up over the next few days.’
‘We’ve always known that we had a wealth of talent in the North West, and we now don’t need the likes of The X Factor to showcase their ‘take’ on talent’, Johnny laughed. ‘Just follow Broderick’s YouTube channel and you’ll see all you need to see!’
