Broderick’s Christmas Boost For Childrens’ Hospital

Broderick’s has announced that The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is the charity chosen to benefit this year, thanks to Broderick’s ‘massive’ Christmas Cup initiative.

‘With the assistance of our partners Bender’s, the UK’s leading manufacturer of paper vending cups, we’ll be featuring Humphrey, the hospital’s popular fundraising mascot, on almost 300,000 cups in the run-up to Christmas’, Johnny Broderick said.

Right now, the children being treated by the hospital are busily creating their own ‘Perfect Christmas’ scenes. ‘We’ve told them to use their imagination’, Johnny said, ‘so we could end up with anything from a robin redbreast on a Yule log to Santa getting stuck in the chimney on our cups! Anything goes, because we’ve agreed that the best of the children’s drawings will be the one we use on the cup.’

Broderick’s will run a selfie campaign throughout the Christmas period, in which customers will be encouraged to post a picture of themselves that features the new cup, together with the hashtag Bigredcup. The company is committed to making ‘a small donation’ for every picture posted.

As an additional incentive, the ten posts that receive the most ‘likes’ will win the photographer a prize of Trafford Centre vouchers – just in time for Christmas.

‘It’s Broderick’s biggest ever Christmas initiative’, Johnny said, ‘and we’re counting on the participation of our customers to help us raise some much-needed funds for one of the country’s leading medical facilities.’
