The AVA and the Facilities Management Association (FMA) have announced that they have become members of each other’s Associations ‘in a carefully planned effort to bridge the gap between vending and facilities management’.

This strategic move will be was formally announced on the FMA stand  at the Facilities Show at the NEC, Birmingham, on  May 14th, when Chris Hoar (FMA CEO) and Jonathan Hilder AVA CEO) signed an agreement to confirm the move.
‘I‘m delighted because we have needed to develop the importance of vending within the facilities management arena for a long time’, Jonathan said. ‘This working relationship will provide us with the perfect opportunity to  bring a better understanding of vending to the facilities management market and I look forward to working with Chris to develop  mutually beneficial membership offerings.”

One of the first ventures of this new alliance is the FM Vending Show, which will be taking place at AVEX at the NEC next month. AVEX is the key trade show for the vending and water industries and the facilities management sessions, on Tuesday 11th of June, will play an integral part in the launch of the new FM Vending Show. This “show within a show” will have a specific focus on providing advice for professionals on how to increase profits. The Headline Speaker at the FMA Seminar at 3.30pm will be Steve Davies, MD of Compass. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Chris Hoar, CEO of the FMA, Steve Davies and two end-user companies.
