Automatic Retailing Sends ‘A’ Team To Vendex

They always send a team, but this time the ‘A’ Team will be representing British vending’s favourite wholesaler, Automatic Retailing, at Vendex.

Automatic Retailing
Ready to go: Mike Hadfield

Lyndsey Baxter told PV: On our stand will be John Crichton, Mike Hadfield, Bruce Turnor, Hylton Nesbitt, Gordon Johnston and myself. MD Allan Walker will be at the show, but not on the stand.

(We’ve heard a rumour that Man City fan Mr. Walker feels so ill at ease at the home of The Reds that he throws away his shoes as soon as the show is over!)

Automatic Retailing Agenda

On the agenda for the Geordie delegation will be Automatic Retailing’s new Healthy Options brochure. As new-boy Gordon Johnston explained. ‘Consumer demand is definitely changing in favour of ‘healthier’ drinks and snacks’, he said. ‘It’s important that Automatic Retailing’s customers are kept informed about new product developments to help them give their consumers what they’re looking for. That’s why we’ve created the ‘Healthy Options’ Brochure, as part of our ongoing commitment to offering a greater choice of products to the vending market’

Show-Stopping Offers

We can say for sure that Automatic Retailing will be using the event ‘to showcase a significant number of new and exciting products’ and, as we’ve come to expect, there’ll be a free-to enter prize draw, which every visitor to the stand will have a chance of winning.

You can be sure our business cards will be going into the hat! (But as fans of Big Red, we won’t feel the need to get rid of our shoes when we depart the hallowed ground!)

The Editor

Planet Vending’s Editor is Ian Reynolds-Young and it’s Ian’s unique writing talent that has made PV what it is today – the best read (red) vending blog in the world, and vending’s best read (reed). Ian ‘tripped and fell into vending’, in the capacity of PR executive, before launching a specialist agency, ‘reynoldscopy’, dedicated to the UK Vending business. The company continues to represent the interests of many of the sector’s leading brands.

‘It’s all about telling stories’, he says. ‘We want to make every visit to PV a rewarding experience. By celebrating the achievements of the UK’s operating companies, we’re on a mission to debunk the idea that vending is retailing’s poor relation.’
