Popular packaging specialist, 4 Aces has appointed industry expert, Richard Allen as the company’s head of vending. With over twenty years experience, working with names such as Douwe Egberts, Tedeco-Gizeh and Veriplast, Richard will oversee all vending sales and marketing activity, supporting 4 Aces plans for future growth within the industry.
Richard has a strong sales management record and is renowned in the vending world for his ability to develop good customer relations, as well as his commitment to service and delivery, which fits perfectly with 4 Aces’s ethos and customer code of practice.
Managing director of 4 Aces, Chris Penn explains: “At 4 Aces, we are on the cusp of major growth in vending having spent the last 12 months building strategic partnerships in order to introduce new and innovative products to the UK market. We need someone on board that can demonstrate real industry expertise and knowledge and who can ably manage this growth and maximise all opportunities. Richard is, without a doubt, our man.”

Richard welcomes the challenges ahead: “4 Aces has a strong and enthusiastic team behind it that has built very strong relationships from scratch over the years. There’s been a lot of door knocking but those customers that are on board are in it for the long-haul because the company has an incredibly competitive pricing structure, good credit terms and is very big on customer service – which is always a winner in the vending industry.
“I’m looking forward to taking on our competitors and helping 4 Aces to feature as one of the UK vending market’s leading cup suppliers in the coming years and will be building on the company’s current, loyal customer base. I will also be working hard to ensure that the breadth of products that 4 Aces is able to offer is known to all as the amount of choice it provides – which is constantly being reviewed and added to – is pretty hard to surpass.”
Since its inception in 2001, 4 Aces has built up a vast network of manufacturers from all over the world. Using a stringent process to identify its preferred suppliers, the company is committed to investing in its manufacturing partners to ensure its product offering is amongst the widest and most creative and that all orders are completed and delivered quickly and with the utmost efficiency.
Chris summarises a key difference between 4 Aces and other packaging suppliers: “We made a fundamental decision early on not to go down the path of manufacturing ourselves. By not wearing the manufacturer’s clothes, we have, instead, been able to work with a whole raft of manufacturers, sourced from all over the world. This means that we can offer our customers the luxury of an abundance of choice at the lowest cost.”
