The Teletorium Micromarket: Teletorium, an innovation-friendly company from Poland, has steered the mobile market towards a completely new sales channel. The company launched the first micro market of its kind in Europe – which essentially works like an online shop with immediate delivery – and it’s running completely on vending machines.
Fitted with HeartByte, MarketLab’s solution that has been steadily gaining traction overseas, the Teletorium Micromarket will support ‘human’ salespeople in providing quality customer service. Utilizing intuitive touchscreens and many handy features, they allow customers to intuitively and quickly choose the product they are looking for. No more lines, no hassle.
On top of that, thanks to an automated control system, managers at each Teletorium Micromarket are notified as soon as any of the items run out of stock. It helps prevent the all-too-familiar situation: walking into a store only to find out the item you’re looking for isn’t available.
“I believe adapting new technologies is a must” says Marek Kaczmarek, Teletorium Vice-Chairman and member of the board. “Accepting innovation reinforces our position as the leaders in the market. Besides, if modern vending machines resemble smartphones in terms of user interface, then how could we reject the idea?” Hence, the Teletorium Micromarket.
Expansion plans for the Teletorium Micromarket involve delivering their solution to all choke points, such as train stations or tourist attractions. The company wants to set up their micro market everywhere, where there might be a need for an SD card to store all the memories or a selfie stick with which these memories will be captured.
By 2020, the number of their automated points of sale is to be increased to 350. MarketLab closely cooperates in pushing the expansion plans forward. “A similar project is in the works, this time aiming to hit the US market. We have already touched base with a few contacts who are interested in bringing the solution across the pond” admits Przemyslaw Turkowski, Director of Product Development at MarketLab.
