Evoca Group has announced the acquisition of the entire share capital of Quality Espresso S.A., one of the largest manufacturers of professional manual espresso machines and complementary accessories in Spain.
Based in Barcelona, Quality Espresso sells espresso equipment under the brands Futurmat, Visacrem, Italcrem and Mairali worldwide, and owns the Gaggia brand for the Iberian Peninsula and for most of the Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America.
With this acquisition, Evoca strengthens its position in the Ho.Re.Ca. market, expanding significantly its existing range of manual espresso machines, while leveraging QE’s expertise. It also complements the planned relaunch of the iconic Gaggia brand and supports the development of innovative technologies, such as telemetry, currently offered for QE ranges of manual machines.
‘Our goal is to develop QE further, keeping its current structure and enhancing its manufacturing site in Barcelona’ Evoca Group CEO Andrea Zocchi said. ‘We intend to support Quality Espresso in developing its product range and in promoting sales abroad, by leveraging the Evoca commercial network worldwide. We’re looking forward to beginning the integration process in order to provide our customers with an enriched offer in terms of expertise, quality products and services.’
For the record, Evoca Group encompasses 1,800 employees and over 10,000 customers in more than 100 countries. The Company, head-quartered in Valbrembo in Italy, has a global presence with eight production sites, six R&D centers, over 500 patents and revenues in excess of €400 million. Evoca produces one of the broadest range of professional coffee machines in the industry and intends to continue complementing its coffee machines with a range of snack and food and can and bottle machines.
The acquisition of QE consolidates Evoca Group’s strategic positioning in the coffee market and will enhance the company’s status in the eyes of customers and stakeholders. ‘We look to the future with determination and enthusiasm’, Andrea Zocchi said. ‘We’re ready to maximize the opportunities offered by this exciting competitive landscape in front of us.’
